The Dr. Elisha Dick Chapter, NSDAR, was founded on December 7, 1937, with forty-eight members, and now has 74 members. We meet on the first Saturday of each month, September through May, at various locations in the Alexandria, VA, area. In addition to conducting chapter business, we have an informative program at each meeting.

Our members participate in many patriotic activities in the Alexandria area, including welcoming new citizens in naturalization ceremonies and participating in historical events at Mt. Vernon and other area historical sites. In addition, we are involved with several area schools in encouraging patriotic activities and participation in NSDAR contests for young people. The chapter sponsors the Dick Anderson Society, Children of the American Revolution.
